What is an Assessment Report?

A summary of the findings of an evaluation is called an assessment report. It highlights the strengths and weaknesses of an organisation and is used to improve internal processes. It is usually created by an outside party however, it can also be created internally. Assessments are usually carried out as part of training and development programs or as part of a wider company performance review.

Assessment reports should clearly communicate what the results of the assessment and what actions have been taken in light of these findings. They should be simple to read and include an equal amount of text and images to convey information. They must also take the company’s design guidelines into consideration, to ensure they are well-presented and match the company brand.

When assessing a program, it is not about determining whether students have met prerequisite requirements. It’s more about how they have progressed and if the program has improved the student outcomes. This can be shown by submitting an annual academic program assessment report. These assessment reports provide evidence that programs are reviewing their curriculum, demonstrating continual improvement and making adjustments in practice when the results of previous assessments are analyzed.
